“LACE” My crochet pieces are an homage to my grandmother, mother and aunts. I reference a family history of women who worked in crochet, ornamenting the house or making garments. Using their techniques and tools I blend aspects of my childhood with contemporary fine art experiences. As a modern woman I change the material from yarn to gold or silver wire, but keep familiar patterns used by my ancestors which give the viewer the sense and reflection of who I am.
